     The Claggett Center is a conference facility encompassing a 277 acre Frederick County working farm situated on a bluff overlooking Sugarloaf Mountain and the scenic Monocacy River Valley.    

     The Claggett Center is wonderful venue for conferences, meetings, retreats and camps for schools, universities, non-prophet groups, businesses, churches, youth groups and families.  Claggett provides a tranquil setting where guest groups gather for team building, strategic planning and renewal.  With its convenient location, less than an hour from the Washington and Baltimore Beltways, and its beautiful surroundings, Claggett is a perfect place for a conference, meeting or retreat.  A state-of-the-art high / low ropes adventure course operated by Upward Enterprises, Inc. www.upwardenterprises.com is located on the campus.

A new dining and meeting facility with breathtaking views of Sugarloaf Mountain opened in 2007.

 The Claggett Center, owned by the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland, is a member of the Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers, Inc.  The center, originally a boys industrial school and named after the first Episcopal bishop of Maryland, is a place of history.
